PENTA and EnVyUs are the first two teams through to the European Minor after finishing the first day of the closed qualifier with a 3-0 record.
The biggest surprise of the day came in the form of Ninjas in Pyjamas finding themselves on the brink of elimination after losing to iGame.com and Red Reserve in the first two rounds. The 2014 ESL One Cologne champions then redeemed themselves with a dramatic 16-14 victory against Epsilon thanks to a 1v3 clutch from William "draken" Sundin in the final round.
PENTA continued to show why they are one of the most in-form teams in Europe at the moment and picked up wins over Epsilon, fnatic Academy and BIG, exacting revenge on the German team for the loss in the ESL Pro League relegation stage.
EnVyUs have booked their spot at the Minor
With strong individual performances from Cédric "RpK" Guipouy and Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer, EnVyUs also achieved a perfect record, moving past Nordic duo Red Reserve and Tricked, and Bulgarian team Outlaws.
